Obtained ‘IDFB Enterprise Inspection Certification’ for the first time in Korea

Down is a very sensitive material, and even if it’s the same items, in the quality inspection, test results are different due to minute factors. This is the reason why you should check the test report of the authorized testing laboratories or institutes when buying down. Since 2008, the International Association has been implementing a certification system to maintain the same quality of testing by independent testing laboratories around the world. PRAUDEN is the first company in Korea to acquire this certification, which has recently expanded to corporate testing laboratories.
International Down and Feather Bureau, IDFB
Since 1953, IDFB has fared as the world’s only down and feather bureau in charge of developing test methods for quality evaluation of down and feather. Working in company with nationwide down and feather associations across the world, IDFB promotes its own quality standards and evaluates such inspection bodies as IDFL as part of its effort to control down and feather quality standards. Doing so, IDFB has provided consumers with straightforward evaluation criteria while providing up-to-date market information to down and feather producers across the globe. As an IDFB member, PRAUDEN abides by both IDFB down and feather inspection criteria and governing national criteria for down and feather filling. IDFB testing regulations are the internationally recognized down and feather inspection criteria.

IDFB Inspection Lab Qualification System
Annual IDFB Round Robin Test (RRT) is the IDFB’s official qualification system for inspection labs for consistency in testing quality. So that the members may perform annual testing under IDFB testing regulations, IDFB distributes the annual sample across its members once yearly. Collating the results of testing, IDFB evaluates the inspection labs across the world, help even out inspection qualities worldwide.

Professionalism is recognized. PRAUDEN Cheonan Lab is now an IDFB-class Lab
Decades of professionalism in down and feather inspection has finally been recognized as PRAUDEN Cheonan Lab was duly recognized by IDFB as a nation’s first Qualified Company Inspection Lab on Jan. 2018, meaning that the Lab has passed IDFB test for 2 consecutive years.
An IDFB Qualified Company Inspection Lab means that it is able to perform all IDFB testing correctly and has testing technologies that are required by a Qualified Testing Institute.
IDFB-certified tests and analyses apply to raw materials importation and processing by, as well as delivery of down and feather by PRAUDEN, ensuring high quality.
PRAUDEN applies the same testing regulations across all of its inspection labs with those applied to Cheonan Lab, meaning that quality is strictly controlled. PRAUDEN further plans to obtain IDFB Recognition for labs of NPA(China) and VINA PRAUDEN(Vietnam).
