Purchase of Raw Materials

Purchased raw materials are delivered to processing plants in Korea, China, and Vietnam. PRAUDEN is able to comply with required delivery dates by utilizing the most suitable production base among its production lines in Korea, China, and Vietnam.

Quarantine & Quality Test

PRAUDEN conducts strict quarantine inspection and quality tests on raw materials before processing at a nationally-certified bonded zone.

Stock Control (SAP)

Cutting-edge stock control system allows PRAUDEN to systematically manage all stocks. This system allows us to thoroughly and precisely oversee the origin of down by lot, as well as the manufacturing process.

Processing & Production

Raw materials are processed in consideration of customer requirements such as down to feather ratios, fill power, and special processing specifications.

	Washing Remove oil and fat and impurities from down & feather and disinfect them, which is the key part of down processing
	Dehydration Dehydrating down & feather that became wet during washing
	Dry Drying down & feather thoroughly using high-pressure steam and removing residual bacteria
	Cooling Cooling down & feather that are heated during drying at room temperature and removing dust and impurities again
	Sorting Sorting down and feathers and removing dust and impurities using the air sorting technique
	Mixing Mixing down and feathers at a ratio required by the customer
	Special Process Additional processes in consideration of customer needs such as thermal insulation, water repellency, deodorization, antibacterial performance, etc.

Inspection of Final Products

Down materials require professional quality management due to their characteristics. PRAUDEN ensures high-quality products by conducting quality inspections on all finished products based on requested order standard.

	Composition Visual inspection on composition including down cluster, feathers, damaged feathers, fiber, residues, etc. and finding composition ratio
	Specie Identification Identifying goose down and duck down and measuring the mixing ratio using a microreader or microscope
	Fill Power Checking bulkiness by measuring the volume of down & feather of constant weight
	Odor Checking the existence of odor such as distinct stench of down & feather, chemicals, etc.
	Oxygen Number Inspecting the cleanliness of down & feather by measuring a level of oxygen required for oxidizing impurities
	Oil & Fat Inspecting if down & feather contain a proper level of oil and fat by measuring the dry weight
	Turbidity Determining the turbidity level by eluting down & feather with distilled water in order to measure content of impurities such as dust
	Moisture Content Measuring the moisture content of down & feathers
	Color Separation Measuring the ratio of gray, brown, and black down & feather to white down & feather

Products which have passed all inspection processes are delivered to customers with detailed information. All feedback that PRAUDEN receives is reflected in the next order.
